Republic Day Speech (English)

Dear respected teachers, guest gentlemen, and the younger and older brothers and sisters present here and my classmates, classmates. Today is January 26, Republic Day. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to tell you something about this holy day today. In India, Republic Day is celebrated with great pomp and ceremony.

The day is celebrated in the Indian capital, Delhi, as well as in the state capitals and government. All educational institutions and with the raising of the Republic Day flag, the singing of the national anthem, the speeches of the chief guest and the president, and the distribution of sweets to the children.

It was decided to celebrate January 26 as Independence Day. For some reason, on January 26, 1930, India first decided to fight for independence. But 19 years later, on August 15, India became independent, or we became independent. But to commemorate January 26 as a historic day, the freedom fighters of the time decided to introduce the Constitution of India on this day. Then India's first Minister of Law and Justice, Dr. B R Ambedkar, drafted a new constitution for India for two years and 11 months. It was adopted by the Legislative Assembly on November 14. For the first time in two years of independence, January 26, 1950, was celebrated as Republic Day.

And every year we celebrate this great day with joy in every place, from every educational institution in India to the big office.

With that said, I’m shortening my speech. Jai Hind, Jai Jagannath.
